I feel like 2010 has been one of those years that has provided me with so many highlights, as well as one of those years that I needed to take a good, hard look at how I handled certain aspects of my life along the way.
From a professional point of view, D2D had an amazing year, with a huge number of clients having a break out year as well as a few others having some great Wins.
2010 ended strong with Stacey Keating completing an amazing year with securing both her US Futures and European Tour card's for 2011, as well as Jono Karamalikis winning the APPT Grand Final in Sydney and the $450K 1st Prize.
Some of the highlights was seeing Jackstar win the 6 handed at the ANZPT Melbourne, on my birthday no less:) Also Jackstar cashing in her first WSOP ME was a great sight to see, as well as Fabian playing in his first WSOP ME and killing them in his matching Red and Green Adidas tracksuits, going onto cash in style!!
The year also provided me with some devastating news, that is turning into a vechile for some good news as well, with one of our best friends finding out she had cancerous brain tumours. The night in Vegas when we heard the news, was one of the most gut wrenching things I have ever heard. KJ is one of the most positive and vibrant people on the planet, and to hear this news dropped me to the floor.
Its now 6 months after her surgery and the tumours havent grown back, allowing the doctors to put chemo and raditation therapy on hold, which is an amazing sign and we we heard the news of her latest scan about a week ago, you cant help but release tears of happiness:)
With the events of 2010 being such an emotional see saw, it was a great opportunity to look at myself and evaluate my own performance, both personally and professionally.
I am my biggest critic when it comes to my profession and being the best mental game coach I can be, or the best in the world, but I have realised that I have lost some control over the important aspects of life.
My ability to switch of from my work has always been a tough one, as I have so much passion for D2D and helping people achieve their goals and dreams, that at times, this gets in the way of me looking after myself and my life personally.
So I have decided that 2011 is going to be the year that I gain back control, as I see 2011 being the biggest and best year for me and D2D so far, so I will need to have 100% control to achieve great results both personally and professionally.
So I have decided to re focus on a hobby that Jackstar and I have practised on and off over the years, which helps us phsyically but also helps us challnge our minds. Kickboxing is something that we both enjoy, as we get a buzz from intense exercise which has been a missing component of our lives in 2011, we are both committing to getting our focus back on training and pushing ourselves both physically and mentally to help us both achieve our goals for 2011.
I am looking to make 2011 the year that I begin the process of taking D2D to the masses by creating a generic Mental Game Sports program to help all up and coming elite athletes create mental and emotional balance and peak performance in their journey to success. I am looking to take this program globally and obviously feel like I need help in being able to achieve this, so I am going to be looking for investors and business partners to help take the Dare2Dream Brand to the next level and will need to be 100% on top of my game both persoanlly and professionally to give myself the best chance of turning this dream into a reality.
So to all followers, thanks for your support and I wish you all a Happy, Successful and Balanced 2011!!
Keep up the great work!
