Well its been a little while since I have blogged as I have been pretty busy with a few projects over the past few weeks.
Mix in the Melbourne Poker Champs and before I know it, its been like 3-4 weeks since my last blog.
One thing I have been looking at is a brain wave device called FocusBand. FocusBand can you real time neural feedback and quantify what is happening in your mind during your performance. One of the great things I found out during my day of testing with the company on the Gold Coast, was that the specific exercises and routines I have created for my players over the past 10 years is having an empowering impact on the way their mind functions during both their pre shot routine's and the doing phase of each shot.
I am excited to get my hands on my own FocusBand so I can begin to create a personalised, specific mental game program to suit every client.
I feel at this stage, even though the FocusBand hasnt been used in the Poker world as yet, that once I spend some time using this with some of my clients, I feel will become a fantastic tool for all poker players to help them bring their A game to every session.
The Melbourne Champs poker tournament was played over the past few weeks and the series was an extremely successful one for my better half, Jackie. Although, she feels extremely disappointed by it, coming so close to winning 2 events and not closing the deal on either event. Its started with Jackie going heads up in the popular $100K GTD event at Crown, with over 540 entrants showing up to take their chance at the title, Jackie found herself finishing 2nd for $16K.
Jackie then back that up with a deep run in the $5K High Rollers event where she ended up finishing a solid 3rd for just over $26K. Obviously the series was a great momentum builder before Vegas and the WSOP and Jackie is really looking forwards to putting in some good volume while in Vegas.
I have been busy trying to organise my schedule for Vegas as it seems like I may have a few different aspects of business to focus on as I will be trying to catch up with my golfer's that are based in the US, as well as work closely with my poker players to try and achieve a deep run at a bracelet.
All in All, feeling psyched for another assault on Vegas and looking forward to what 2011 has in store for Dare2Dream!!
Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteNice read!
FocusBand sounds an interesting and intriguing concept I have to say.
If only it could help with my tiredness in the latter stages of my tourney I would be a very happy bunny! :-)
Magnificent results for Jackie! 2nd in the $100k GTD and 3rd in the $5k High Rollers in as many weeks is very impressive and solid poker. Very well played and many congrats`!
All the very best with your golf and I hope you run deep at the WSOP Jamie "Dare2Dream" Glazier! OneTime!

ReplyDeleteHopefully the Dare2Dream Video Program can help you with the fatigue at latter stages of the tounrament. I uploaded a new video yesterday on Fatigue, so Im sure it would help.
Good Luck and thanks again.
